GREENSBORO, Ga. – Reynolds Lake Oconee has demonstrated their commitment to the health and wellness of the greater Greene County/Lake Country region by pledging $1 million to the Good Samaritan Hospital Pavilion fundraising campaign.
The $10 million campaign – titled “Expanding Access, Saving Lives” – seeks philanthropic support from individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners to augment construction, services, and technology at the new Pavilion, now under construction. The campaign bolsters a $35.6 million commitment from Trinity Health, a nationwide health ministry that includes St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital and St. Mary’s Health Care System.
“St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital has been a cornerstone for the health and welfare of our community since opening its doors nearly 15 years ago,” said Rabun Neal, President of Reynolds Lake Oconee. “Over these years, Reynolds and St. Mary’s have forged strong bonds of support through our company, our employees, our residents and members in service to the broader Lake Oconee region.”
"We are deeply grateful to Reynolds Lake Oconee for their extraordinary leadership and vision," said Lisa Laube, Chair of the Fundraising Committee for the project. "Their investment sends a powerful message about the importance of accessible, high-quality healthcare for everyone who lives in and visits our region."
“Reynolds Lake Oconee has been a key supporter through the years as we have invested in new facilities, technologies, and services to continually enhance access to high-level care, higher-level caring at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital,” said Stonish Pierce, President and CEO, Trinity Health Georgia. “Their generosity has made and continues to make a real difference in the extraordinary level of healthcare available in this community.”
The Pavilion will provide modern, patient-centered spaces designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of the region. Planned features include expanded outpatient services, enhanced diagnostic capabilities, improved patient amenities, and flexible clinical space that will allow the hospital to adapt to future healthcare demands.
“It is our honor to participate in this important campaign as St. Mary’s continues to expand and invest in critical medical services which will benefit the entire lake community,” said Tim Hong, Chief Operating Officer of Reynolds Lake Oconee.
