St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital launches fundraising campaign for new medical Pavilion

GREENSBORO, Ga. – August 10, 2026 – St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital announces the public launch of a $10 million fundraising campaign to support the construction of a new healthcare services Pavilion at the hospital on Lake Oconee Parkway. The Pavilion will expand healthcare access, enhance patient care, and strengthen the hospital's ability to serve residents throughout Greene County and the surrounding Lake Oconee region.

The campaign, titled "Expanding Access, Saving Lives", seeks philanthropic support from individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners who share a commitment to ensuring high-quality healthcare remains close to home for generations to come.

“We expect the new Pavilion will serve thousands of patients annually and create an environment that promotes healing, comfort, and clinical excellence,” said Jennifer Messer, St. Mary’s Chief Development Officer. “We are also confident that the facility will enhance our ability to recruit top-notch physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to the region.”

The three-story Pavilion, now under construction next to the hospital, will provide modern, patient-centered spaces designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of the region. Planned features include expanded outpatient services, enhanced diagnostic capabilities, improved patient amenities, and flexible clinical space that will allow the hospital to adapt to future healthcare demands.

The project comes at a time of significant growth across Greene County and the Lake Country area. Increasing demand for healthcare services continues to underscore the need for expanded facilities and enhanced care delivery that will ensure area residents can access the care they need locally.

Messer stressed that philanthropy will play a critical role in bringing the vision to life.

“The $10 million campaign will help fund construction, medical technology, patient care enhancements, and other critical investments that will elevate the healthcare experience for patients and families from across our area,” she said.

The fundraising campaign augments a commitment of $35.6 million for the Pavilion from Trinity Health, of which St. Mary’s Health Care System and St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital are members.
