GREENSBORO, Ga. St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital is opening an upscale thrift store in July and is seeking highly motivated, community-spirited volunteers to staff it.

The thrift store will be located near Good Samaritan Hospital at 4980-B Carey Station Road, Greensboro, and will accept donations of high-quality, gently used items beginning in mid-June. The store will accept items such as clothing, books, electronics, jewelry, tableware, art, decorative items, collectibles, and good-quality furniture. Proceeds from the store will be used to augment the healing mission of St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.

Volunteers are needed for all aspects of store operations, from receiving donations to ringing up sales. They will serve under professional retail manager Angie Patterson, who also oversees volunteers staffing St. Mary’s Hospital Gift Shop and the highly successful St. Mary’s Auxiliary Upscale Thrift Store, both in Athens.

The Good Samaritan Hospital Upscale Thrift Store will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. For more information or to apply, email Patterson at angela.patterson@stmarysathens.org or call her at (706) 206-1672.
