Senior Vice President, Operations
Jeff joined the St. Mary’s team in 2010 and served in several roles with progressive leadership responsibilities prior to his appointment in June 2023 to the newly created position of Senior Vice President Operations for all of St. Mary’s Health Care System.
From January 2021 until his most recent appointment, Jeff served as Vice President of Operations and Performance Excellence. In this role, he provided executive leadership for performance excellence, professional services and support services at St. Mary’s Hospital. He led the system’s successful implementation of the TogetherCare/Epic electronic health record in fall 2022. He also served as the initial and current leader for St. Mary’s COVID-19 emergence strategy to reduce costs, enhance productivity and drive increased volumes.
In his previous role with St. Mary’s, Jeff served as System Director of Radiology and Cardiovascular Services from May 2010 to May 2019. During much of this time, he also provided executive leadership for St. Mary’s Military and Veterans Health program (MilVets) and led St. Mary’s COVID vaccine clinics.
Prior to joining St. Mary’s, Jeff served as a weekend CT technologist with Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Ga., Imaging Center Manager with Piedmont Hospital (Atlanta), Administrative Director of Imaging Services with Floyd Medical Center (Rome, GA), as Manager of Family Practice and Orthopedics with Harbin Clinic (Rome), and as Radiology evening shift supervisor with Redmond Regional (Rome). Jeff’s career began during his service with the U.S. Navy, where he was a Hospital Corpsman, Petty Officer 2nd Class.
Jeff earned his certificate in radiologic technology from Grady Memorial Hospital’s School of Radiologic Technology in Atlanta. He then earned his Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Floyd College (Rome) before earning both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from Shorter University (Rome).
He currently serves on the Athens Technical College Board of Directors and has past community experience as the Athens Tech Radiology/Sonography Advisory Board Chair, with LEAD Athens, and as St. Mary’s United Way Loaned Executive. Jeff is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
