Jack Brown
Mr. Brown is a retired senior vice president of Kraft-General Foods Corp., where he worked for 34 years in progressively more responsible roles including operations, engineering, finance, sales, product/business development and corporate leadership.
In addition, he served as Chair of the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey Advisory Council, chaired several United Way fund drives, and also served on Second Harvest Board, Burger Chef Board, General Foods Technical Research Board, and the Consolidated Freight Board.
Locally, he has served as Chair of the Reynolds Plantation Board of Governors, the Reynolds Plantation Property Owners Association, Oconee Performing Arts Society OPAS), Good Samaritan Hospital Governance Board, and Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Board Special Gifts Committee.
Other local service includes chairing a Church Diaconate, Board of Trustees, and as a Lay Moderator for three churches; serving as a founding board member of the Ives Center for Performing Arts in Danbury, Conn., and serving of the Sloan Kettering Hospital Board.
Mr. Brown earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in Finance and Marketing from Western Michigan University. He completed additional executive coursework at the University of Michigan, Michigan State, University of Wisconsin, Harvard, Columbia, Duke University and Northwestern University.
He has been married for 60 years with a son, a daughter and six grandchildren.
